Catholic Valley Mills Catholic no longer in existence     Existing in the early 1900's, it was discontinued when most of the members moved away. The building was acquired by the Presbyterian Church in 1906 and later by the Oak Grove Baptist Church.    
Cayote Methodist Church Cayote Unknown   1906 active Services were originally held in school buildings and, in the summer, under brush arbors. A church building was constructed in 1915. Baptists alternated Sundays using this building until about 1930. The building was damaged by a tornado in 1958 but was rebuilt.

It originally met on the second floor of the wood-frame school building. In 1889, a committee was appointed to select a site and construct a church building. The name was changed to the First Baptist Church of Valley Mills in 1892.

In 1911, the churches reunited and chose a building location where the current church exists. A new building was constructed in 1951 and and annex added in 1958.

The tabernacle was destroyed by tornado in 1938. In 1930, a new small white church was built. In 1959, the membership transferred and merged w/ the Methodist Church in Clifton.
